Resident Visa for Foreign Students(Full-time PhD, Master’s, Bachelor’s program)

Applicants outside of the R.O.C. (Taiwan) who meet the requirements for students’ Resident Visa are advised to apply for the visa from an R.O.C. (Taiwan) overseas mission.

Procedure: Resident visa application ➜ Arrive in Taiwan ➜ ARC application

※Applicants who enter the R.O.C. (Taiwan) on a Visitor Visa for the purpose of “foreign students” may apply to the National Immigration Agency for residence and obtain an Alien Resident Certificate(ARC).

Alien Resident Certificate(ARC)

Students holding a Resident visa must apply for an Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) through the online application system of the National Immigration Agency within 30 days from the day after entry .

Required documents: 

Passport, Admission letter, Certificate of enrollment, and NTD1000.
